So I really hope that in seeing this title you didn't automatically go, OH NO SHE IS A TWIHEART! well that isn't true. I am a fan of the books. the end. what I really wanted to write about is what a real vampire is. Like for example the classic Dracula. I have been reading his book and I get scared from how intense it can get. Dracula is the original vampire, stays in at night, the only trick up his sleeve is persuasive speaking. well intimidation is more like it. He still has the super speed and stuff and I'm not sure but i actually think he controls wolves SO this whole ware-wolf vampire hating each other thing... so not cool. the vampires just control them ;) well that is the classic view that i have personally seen, if you would like to correct me please do :)
Now for the next coolest in the vampire wear-wolf debate would be The Vampire Diaries... go ahead judge all you want but this show has so many "OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY DID THAT!!" moments its hard not to get hooked, plus I'm pretty sure they higher the most attractive person they can for whatever part they need. seriously its like super model central... Anyway! The vampires in this show explain everything wonderfully, like they aren't supposed to walk in the sun but because of the rings they wear they can. so yes vampires BURN in the sun and if they stay in the sun for a while they catch fire, so ya FIRE hurts them too, they still have the whole I'm in love with a human issue but hey these shows can't be simple or no one will watch it. These vampires are super scary and have the ability to compel you. translation? they can make you do what they want you to and you don't remember anything afterword. they still you know... attack humans none of that woodland creature stuff. well most of the time they drink out of blood bags.
Now i believe that you all have hear of the lamest of the vampires... the Cullens. they sparkle and they feel it necessary to protect a girl who is slightly insane and they play baseball?? eh guess that's not really a draw back. The wear-wolves in the books are by far the best, there isn't the whole full moon thing like everything else, plus they can talk with just thinking. back to vampires. These vampires are more like people who can run super fast and are super strong. you don't really get much of the "I WILL EAT YOU" that you get with the other two, thought Dracula is a little more clever with the way he does it, the Vampires from VD pretty much do what they want, but most of the time they avoid killing. which i appreciate.
Well there you go, the three most popular vampire type stories and well in my opinion you can never beat the classics. The type of intensity where you don't know what is waiting around the corner, where you only get a piece of the truth at the time and when you get the full truth you want to scream I KNEW IT! lol but i do. I think that the idea of Vampires is interesting, because they don't exist you get to use your imagination in how they look, what they act like, where they come from... its like elves and fairies....sorta. I like vampires not because they are creepy and stalk people but because it takes imagination to understand the story. well Twilight being the exception :) So there you go, vampires summed up, best to "worst". I hope you all read Dracula, it may be a bit of a hard start but it gets really good so just stick with it k?
Warning: this page may have spelling and grammer errors, will I fix them for you? probably not.

Egyptian or Greek? a round of applause for Rick
OK, so my brother is "making" me read these books by the author Rick Riordan and if you are into fantasy books and cute little love stories I highly recommend these. One series is about a brother and sister and how they have the blood of the pharaohs and how the Egyptian gods can take host in their body.Gods like Horus or Isis (sounds weird but when you read it its actually super interesting) The coolest part of this Egyptian series is that because they have the blood of Pharaohs in them they have Magic, like strait up they say a word or think of an image and it happens, their are of course restrictions but you'll have to read the books to know them. If you know nothing about Egyptian gods that's OK because Rick explains it all to you, he is good at that.
now the other series is like a continuation of the Percy Jackson series so if you liked those these ones are a MUST read. to be honest I just started these ones but the rules are all still the same, something earth shattering is going to happen only this time Percy isn't there, now its up to Jason, Leo and Piper I know you don't know them but hey I like 'em so far, especially Leo. These kids don't have the blood of the Pharaohs they are actual descendants of gods, like Zeus and Athena. To find out how read the books, if you can't tell i think that you reading the books is ALWAYS going to be more entertaining then me telling you about them. Even though i haven't gotten to far into this series I still can't stop thinking about it, good thing i have an awesome job that lets me read at work.
so about now you must be thinking "OK now why did you tell us this?" the answer is that i felt like it. so there... no the real answer is because it was cool to see how one author can use the same general idea and writing style and still have characters that are SO different and so pronounced that you can't help but pick your favorites.and I like sharing things like this with all y'all. so for example:
Percy- head strong guy who is only brave when he has to be, also kinda a cheese ball when it comes to love
Leo- and ADHD kid who is a super freaky genius who has more to him then you realize
Sadie- a very sassy and demanding girl but so loyal that you always want her to back you up
Annabeth-Also super smart but shy and a little more serious about things
Carter- smart, likes to stay behind the scenes, just a regular nerd guy with kick but magical powers
The list really goes on and on, but what I like even more about these books is they way he portraysthe gods the Egyptian gods are all kinda powerhungry and act like normal human beings while the Greek gods sit up in their little tower known as Olympus and leave the demi gods to fend for them selves though they have been known to communicate through visions every so often etc. Every time i read these books i am totally transported into the story and into the characters, their mind set, and ever so often when it gets intense i forget to breathe while i read a paragraph or to. Just so you know that does tend to cause the hiccups.
So basically Rick made it into my top five authors list which is hard because I've had a top five with only 3 spots actually filled the list goes like this
1. Tamora Peirce
2. Shannon Hale
3. J.K. Rowling
4. Rick Riordan
5. TBA--for those of you who don't know what that is it stands for To Be Announced or whoever else i feel like mentioning that day. ;)
My questions for you is 1. when was the last time you read a book? 2. who do you think would win in a battle the Egyptians or Greek gods? 3. who are your top five authors. well Happy reading to you!!
