So i wrote this at like 2 am the other night and i thought that i would share.
Destiny have you seen time? No dear only before moments of great triumph does he visit me. Maybe ask love they've always been good friends.
Love have you seen time? Yes, he visits often... It seems that only he can help heal all the broken hearts. Then again he also helps me stop time every so often, to let me give couples their magic moment... But don't wait here for him it should be a bit before he comes again... Maybe ask life? Sometimes they talk.
Hey life, have you seen time? No... We don't see each other often he hangs out with death too much. Try finding him there.
Death. Excuse me? Death have you seen time? Yes. we speak often Without time I would not know who's time had come to move on, however time seemed to be in a rush today he must be speaking with sorrow.
Time?! Time is that you? Yes it is me, but you must hurry to catch up for I only slow in times of boredom and today their is very little. Time I need you to reverse... REVERSE?! Never. Never have I turned around and undone what was. Why should I child? Because time I have made a mistake and I'd only need you to reverse time for but a few moments my mistake may be made right. Ah! ... Child mistakes are a part of your time in life. You cannot undo what has been done you can only learn from it and pray that you do not make that mistake again. But time... I have made this mistake before. I can't possibly do it again! You must help me. I must? Child time must do nothing but move forward. In time you can find healing, in time you can find hope, no child you must learn again and try again, and with me you can heal. Trust me I will go forward always. And when your time has come I will be sure to have death be there to greet you with open arms
Warning: this page may have spelling and grammer errors, will I fix them for you? probably not.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
So yes I do know that it isn't actually Christmas today and that I'm like two weeks early but I love this time of year. I love seeing the mountains covered with snow, I love jackets and this weather is perfect for them. I love the Hot Chocolate and all of the time I get to spend with my family.... I especially love all of the lessons in church. I love the lessons on Christs birth and the new things I learn every year. In institute this year I took a Women in The Scriptures class and I got a whole new perspective on Mary and Elizabeth. For those of you who don't know Elizabeth is John the baptists mother. In case you didn't all know Elizabeth couldn't have kids she was barren, but because of her faith the Lord blessed her with a child, the child that would one day baptize the Son of God. These two women knew each other. They were cousins even and they were carrying the future prophets of the Lord together. Can you imagine how much Mary and Elizabeth went through to raise these men? Mary gave birth in a stable, not one of those cute little wooden ones we sometimes imagine but more of a cave with lots of smelly animals and some straw. Not that I didn't know that before but I'm thinking of the hospitals and the medcine we have now and how much harder it would have been, in a stable, no medicine, no doctor with a big degree, no electricity and no place to raise the child after they were born. Mary is one of my new heros, I wish to have the strength and faith that she did. She heard from an angel that she was going to give birth to the Son of God, and she did as she was commanded from that moment on. I tried putting myself in Mary's shoes and it was a whole new experiance with the story and how Christ's life began.
I hope as you go about buying presents and panicking about money and finals and travel plans for the holiday that you remember why this Holiday even exists. I hope you remember the love your Heavenly Father and your Savior have for you. Most of all I want you to count your blessings during this happy time and what they mean to/ have done for you. I hope you take a minute and read in the scriptures the story of Christ's birth. Who knows maybe you will see and learn something you didn't before. Try placing yourself in their shoes. Try and feel how Mary and Joseph felt. Again I wish all the very best and most Merry Christmas yet. I love you all and will be thinking of you this Christmas season.

Vampires!!
So I really hope that in seeing this title you didn't automatically go, OH NO SHE IS A TWIHEART! well that isn't true. I am a fan of the books. the end. what I really wanted to write about is what a real vampire is. Like for example the classic Dracula. I have been reading his book and I get scared from how intense it can get. Dracula is the original vampire, stays in at night, the only trick up his sleeve is persuasive speaking. well intimidation is more like it. He still has the super speed and stuff and I'm not sure but i actually think he controls wolves SO this whole ware-wolf vampire hating each other thing... so not cool. the vampires just control them ;) well that is the classic view that i have personally seen, if you would like to correct me please do :)
Now for the next coolest in the vampire wear-wolf debate would be The Vampire Diaries... go ahead judge all you want but this show has so many "OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY DID THAT!!" moments its hard not to get hooked, plus I'm pretty sure they higher the most attractive person they can for whatever part they need. seriously its like super model central... Anyway! The vampires in this show explain everything wonderfully, like they aren't supposed to walk in the sun but because of the rings they wear they can. so yes vampires BURN in the sun and if they stay in the sun for a while they catch fire, so ya FIRE hurts them too, they still have the whole I'm in love with a human issue but hey these shows can't be simple or no one will watch it. These vampires are super scary and have the ability to compel you. translation? they can make you do what they want you to and you don't remember anything afterword. they still you know... attack humans none of that woodland creature stuff. well most of the time they drink out of blood bags.
Now i believe that you all have hear of the lamest of the vampires... the Cullens. they sparkle and they feel it necessary to protect a girl who is slightly insane and they play baseball?? eh guess that's not really a draw back. The wear-wolves in the books are by far the best, there isn't the whole full moon thing like everything else, plus they can talk with just thinking. back to vampires. These vampires are more like people who can run super fast and are super strong. you don't really get much of the "I WILL EAT YOU" that you get with the other two, thought Dracula is a little more clever with the way he does it, the Vampires from VD pretty much do what they want, but most of the time they avoid killing. which i appreciate.
Well there you go, the three most popular vampire type stories and well in my opinion you can never beat the classics. The type of intensity where you don't know what is waiting around the corner, where you only get a piece of the truth at the time and when you get the full truth you want to scream I KNEW IT! lol but i do. I think that the idea of Vampires is interesting, because they don't exist you get to use your imagination in how they look, what they act like, where they come from... its like elves and fairies....sorta. I like vampires not because they are creepy and stalk people but because it takes imagination to understand the story. well Twilight being the exception :) So there you go, vampires summed up, best to "worst". I hope you all read Dracula, it may be a bit of a hard start but it gets really good so just stick with it k?

Egyptian or Greek? a round of applause for Rick
OK, so my brother is "making" me read these books by the author Rick Riordan and if you are into fantasy books and cute little love stories I highly recommend these. One series is about a brother and sister and how they have the blood of the pharaohs and how the Egyptian gods can take host in their body.Gods like Horus or Isis (sounds weird but when you read it its actually super interesting) The coolest part of this Egyptian series is that because they have the blood of Pharaohs in them they have Magic, like strait up they say a word or think of an image and it happens, their are of course restrictions but you'll have to read the books to know them. If you know nothing about Egyptian gods that's OK because Rick explains it all to you, he is good at that.
now the other series is like a continuation of the Percy Jackson series so if you liked those these ones are a MUST read. to be honest I just started these ones but the rules are all still the same, something earth shattering is going to happen only this time Percy isn't there, now its up to Jason, Leo and Piper I know you don't know them but hey I like 'em so far, especially Leo. These kids don't have the blood of the Pharaohs they are actual descendants of gods, like Zeus and Athena. To find out how read the books, if you can't tell i think that you reading the books is ALWAYS going to be more entertaining then me telling you about them. Even though i haven't gotten to far into this series I still can't stop thinking about it, good thing i have an awesome job that lets me read at work.
so about now you must be thinking "OK now why did you tell us this?" the answer is that i felt like it. so there... no the real answer is because it was cool to see how one author can use the same general idea and writing style and still have characters that are SO different and so pronounced that you can't help but pick your favorites.and I like sharing things like this with all y'all. so for example:
Percy- head strong guy who is only brave when he has to be, also kinda a cheese ball when it comes to love
Leo- and ADHD kid who is a super freaky genius who has more to him then you realize
Sadie- a very sassy and demanding girl but so loyal that you always want her to back you up
Annabeth-Also super smart but shy and a little more serious about things
Carter- smart, likes to stay behind the scenes, just a regular nerd guy with kick but magical powers
The list really goes on and on, but what I like even more about these books is they way he portraysthe gods the Egyptian gods are all kinda powerhungry and act like normal human beings while the Greek gods sit up in their little tower known as Olympus and leave the demi gods to fend for them selves though they have been known to communicate through visions every so often etc. Every time i read these books i am totally transported into the story and into the characters, their mind set, and ever so often when it gets intense i forget to breathe while i read a paragraph or to. Just so you know that does tend to cause the hiccups.
So basically Rick made it into my top five authors list which is hard because I've had a top five with only 3 spots actually filled the list goes like this
1. Tamora Peirce
2. Shannon Hale
3. J.K. Rowling
4. Rick Riordan
5. TBA--for those of you who don't know what that is it stands for To Be Announced or whoever else i feel like mentioning that day. ;)
My questions for you is 1. when was the last time you read a book? 2. who do you think would win in a battle the Egyptians or Greek gods? 3. who are your top five authors. well Happy reading to you!!

You choose!
Not even kidding you really do choose. With starting college this year it has seemed to me that it is choice right after the other and every choice I make effects everything else. For example say I have a Chemistry test next Saturday and I haven't even look at the stuff that is going to be on that test, which just so happens to be a mid term as well... but instead of choosing to study I go to a movie with friends, or a watch a show on Netflix, or I "forget" to take it to work with me so I can study there. In making my choice not to study and to have a social life I find myself up till maybe 1am every night the week before the test... see my train of thought? I now actually have to think about the consequences BEFORE I make the choice novel idea huh?
Well I've also been thinking about the other kinds of choices more like life style choices, things like what I eat, who my friends are, the language I use and the books I read. Things that are every day but over a long period of time they can make a huge difference. Like food habits for me are super horrible, sometimes I skip meals, other times I pig out and eat a half a pan of brownies, or I eat nothing but a bagel for food all day. bad ya? so that is one of my recent choices, to eat and treat my body better.
In Institute today I also got the idea that your attitude is a choice. If you are mad you should think why? and CHOOSE if what mad you mad is really worth being mad over. For another life example today I woke up late... like REALLY late and got to class you guessed it REALLY late and I was super mad that I missed the first half of class cause now I don't fully understand the material because I wasn't their to hear the explanation. Instead of getting mad and focusing on what was SO "horribly" wrong with my life. I should have been thinking of a way to make it better, find someone in the class I know to explain it to me, think of a time I can go to the Lab and get help on the homework, honestly their were several good possibilities. I didn't need to waste all my thoughts time and energy being angry about something that didn't deserve it.
Institute reminded me to take a deep breath, relax, think about it, find your answers (notice the s at the end of answers?) then CHOOSE what one will help/do the most. Life is a bunch of choices you have the agency and the power to CHOOSE use it wisely.

I can see... YOUR FUTURE!
So for my job I work in a call center and when things aren't busy we have "free time". We can chat with other people, blog, do homework, read a book, sketch, and pretty much whatever as long as it doesn't interfere with our ability to answer the phone. So the other day things weren't very busy and I found out that one of the other departments managers is a palm reader, like a legitimate one with channeling spirits and all that. She says that she doesn't really believe in it but most of what she has seen for other people has come true. So I thought I'd share with you what she read in my palm.
She started out by telling me what she saw in my life right now, the first thing out of her mouth was "wow" you are young child..." but after that she was like you are in school and its going pretty well, you are active in the church and you don't see your family often but you love them... then she was like your spirits opened up now, you can ask questions, so i asked how many kids? and she was like you are too young for me to see that. so my next question was will i go on a mission? and she said no. you are going to get married. you don't go on a mission because of the LOVE (she said it in a funny voice) you have for him, so the next thing out of my mouth when she mentioned a boy was is he cute?? and she said i cant tell that! so i asked what she could tell me about him she said that he is from out of state, that either his first middle or last name starts with an N and for some random reason we get married in an Idaho temple. Then she said that my life was pretty much going to be the typical LDS girl life that i would have some struggles but i would always make my way thought it.
To be honest i hope that what she foresaw comes true, not word for word but that I would get married in the temple, that my life would be a good normal one. could i really ask for more out of my future? I don't think so :) The future is a scary thing where nothing is certain. We don't know how things are going to end up, where they're going to start or who your going to be sharing your life with when it happens. I'm glad that i have good friends, that i have a supportive family who can help me make my future a little less scary.

I HATE MONDAYS!!
cgfuk,incglo-hfk09gkmvi0h9jmc9rc--Alex's opinion on the awefulness of Monday. I would have to agree. very much so.
Here is how my Monday started off. I can't find the 4th book in the series I've been reading I looked all TWENTY of the bookcases in my home. I think we lent it to someone so IF you have MY BOOK! please return it now... like asap cause the cliffhanger ending is killing me.
To continue this amazing (sarcasm) morning I woke up late and had to burn my tongue on a hot pocket on my way out the door. now my tongue is going to feel super weird for like three more hours. ick.
Now I finally made it to school where my first class is Math. nuff said
I just finished a Biology quiz, I'm avoiding studying for the chemistry test later today, and the ASL assignment that i have no idea where to begin...
and I'm out of fruit snacks. if that isn't horrible i have no idea what is.
Now my question for you is, how do you make a day that seems so crappy better? how do you start off a day so that it is good? what is there that you have to do to make a Monday good? I know there are a few ways I could have fixed this Monday but what about the Friday's? the Wednesdays? I want to know the magical key that makes mornings better. that makes Mondays better. So if you could give some insight that would be great. LOVE YOU ALL BYE!

BILL NYE!!
SO, I got to meet one of my childhood superheros the other day! thats right bill nye! and just in case you were wondering they did play his theme song before he came on stage so it would have been worth your time to go. I was lucky enought to get seats the fourth row in in the middle!
Bill talked about alot of diffrent things, but one thing that he said the most was that "we can CHANGE THE WORLD!" he did kinda yell it too. lol but he talked about all of these ideas and the advances we were making the the scientific community. He kept telling us that yes there are problems in the world but its us as the future generation who can fix these problems and can make the world better. we can create a way to lower the earths temperature, we can create a way to easily and safely go to the moon. (btw 550 people have gone into space! did you think it was that many? cause i had no idea...) I just kept thinking this man has devoted his life to science and to helping make the world a better place and he has over 500 students here listening to what he is saying.
The things bill said were amazing, sometimes i didn't always know where he was going with things but it was wither funny or interesting so he had my attention for the whole time. He even made up a few words, very dr seuss worthy. It was fun to try and see the ASL interperators fingerspell them because they were soooo long and weird sounding.
So basically i just wanted to reaffirm the fact the Bill Nye is amazing, that he belives that we can change the world and create things to fix the world and i am in full agreement with him. if we want this world to last and be the best that it can be its our job to try and fix it. to make it better, to make it last. Bill pointed out that most people fall in love with science before the age of ten. I realized that i went to space camp when i was 9 and that is when i fell in love with astronomy and science. I want to help other kids fall in love with science too, how i am going to do that? i have no idea....

$$ College $$
So College started this week, well last week. I'm not really counting last week cause its the week were you enter a room and the only important things that are really said are "this textbook will cost x amount of dollars and you will need a clicker and to buy access to the website where all the homework is posted" that is an example of one of my classes. Awesome right? wrong... very wrong. not. ok. with me.
This week every time I got my wallet out to pay for a textbook, or to get a clicker, or notebooks, or an ID, or a bus pass (the list goes on) I thought of the olden days where only the rich and powerful could go to school. It was a great image that even back then school was something you had to pay a lot and work for. I can hardly imagine how much a book cost back then... when all books were written by hand. Hard to imagine with what we have now, laptops, Internet, printing presses. So my question is, after all of the technological advances we've made since then WHY are books still 200+ dollars? I understand that alot of people put work into them and that they are big and heavy and for some reason those two qualify as reasons as to why I pay more. I just think that if you buy a textbook that took maybe 20min to an hour to make on a machine and most of the information was already in the LAST edition of the book why i have to get a new one and why it costs me more than a car payment for textbooks.
So after this experience of extreme spending I became very grateful for all I have. INCLUDING the opportunity I have to go to College. To earn a degree. To better myself and hopefully my community. I am thankful for my job and the ability it gives me to afford college and the nasty text books that come with it.I am greatful for the internet and the ability to buy book cheaper off their and to rent them and get my money back. I am also grateful to not have been born in the dark ages where girls weren't even allowed to go to college, let alone leave the house. I'm a little to headstrong for that to have lasted for long. However if dragons really did exist back then and I could own one...never mind we won't go there. today.
So in the end College = good and textbooks = so ridiculously expensive it hurts.

Who could ask for more??
So you know how some people are like "best day ever" for every day of their life? I appreciate their enthusiasm for the good things they have in there lives. BUT! I (for reals yo) had the best day ever.
So first it starts off with the amazing fact that it is a Saturday and I got to sleep in till 11:30. after having an epic dream about being kitnis from the hunger games series, that's right beware my bow ans arrow.
Second came work, i know that this should be where I'm like "but that sucked so we're moving on now, however today was really slow so i got to read my book. I am now more than halfway through it and wish that i could read faster so that when i got a call i didn't always stop at a cliff hanger (in this book we take that literally.)... FYI i work at a call center for Vision Security. continuing on, When i was about to leave for my break my boss says "hey, do you just want to go home early instead of taking a break?" so duh! i said yes and booked it outta there.
where the third amazing thing happened I got to see my Best friend Sarah and it doesn't happen often cause we both work full time and soon we will both go to school full time. There was a small price to pay (not really) we had to go to her boyfriends apartment and help take some stuff in. when we got there it was EPIC mostly cause is speaker system made his whole floor shake.
FOURTH there was a DANCE PARTY impromptu and in the RAIN that's right people the RAIN. where there were many cute single guys. The guys who were in charge of the music didn't do such a bad job picking songs either.
fifth and probably the happiest (or silliest, you choose) part was meeting a cute guy, whom thought it was cool that i know both and all of the rap parts in the song Magic by B.O.B... haha it did make me laugh just all little bit that he thought that was cool. all of this happening in the amazing event nature had given me. Rain
The mighty number six would be running into my friend Catia who i haven't seen since graduation day. I love seeing Friends. Come to find out she lives just around the coroner from the apartment my friend is living in! so i will be seeing her alot more often, hopefully.
The rain its self is number seven on my awesome day of life. The lightning that came along with it made me smile so much my cheeks hurt... only a little bit. so that makes the lightning number...you guessed it! 8!!
the number 9 would be occupied by the amazing drive home in the rain where the radio obeyed my every command!
So that ends my list of amazing things that happened to me today. I wish that days like this could happen all the time, sadly if they happened all that time i don't think i would appreciate them as much, nor would i notice what specifically made me happy. I'm glad that i can enjoy the little things in life. :) I hope that you all can think of one thing that has happened to you in the past twenty four hours that has made you smile, laugh, or want to dance in the rain. That is something that i will ALWAYS want to do. I may even follow the advice of a wise man i hear of often and keep a journal of all the ways may life were good from day to day. For today though i think I'll just share my happiness with you.

FOR NARNIA!!!!
I did it! I finally completed reading the entire Narnia series by C.S. Lewis and then I watched all the movies too. Why did I do this? To be 100% honest I did it because I felt like it. Then as i started reading them I remembered all those happy times when my dad had read them to me as a kid, and how he had read them to my younger siblings just this past year, yup those are definitely some happy memories. ANYWAY, when I finished the last page of "The Last Battle" I felt like I'd accomplished something. I love that feeling of knowing that I've set my mind to something, and even thought it took WAY longer than it should have, I did it in the end.
I wish that the Narnia series was on a book list for High School English classes, there is so much that you can write about and discuss in these books, plus they aren't boring. I feel like eighty percent of all of the books on high school reading lists are either boring or you really could care less about whats going on in the book. For a very good example I give you the book 1984 by George Orwell, I personally despise that book. Sorry if i offend anyone but the only good part about that book is the idea it presents. The Narnian series however, is an easier read with all of the symbolism and excitement you can ask for!
Now I know i have said quite a bit about the symbolism you can find in these books, most of the symbolism in these books has to deal with the Cristian religion, maybe and very sadly that is why this book isn't on schools reading lists. The symbolism I found in these books that I had never seen before is how it isn't Aslan who swoops in to save all of the kings of Narnia, he sends children to help them for him. It brought to my mind all of those lessons on "if ye do it unto the least of my brethren..." I sat there for a minute after making this realization that even in the books these little lessons about serving those around you are there.
One last thing. I think that you should read the Narnian series, if not for the simple pleasure of reading then for the challenge of seeing all of the relations between the books and the christian religion. That is your mission should you choose to accept it, and I sincerely hope that you do.

Just starting out...
So I have toyed with the idea of starting my own blog for a long time, the thing was I didn't think anyone would read it. Then I realized that it doesn't matter if anyone reads it, I can write what I write and write it for me. However, if you read this and decide that you would like to continue to read what I have to say then I am completely content with that. What I'm going to blog isn't going to be my journal though I may tell a funny story or two, it will be thoughts, ideas, experiances, what I've thought about a book or a movie that i've read/ watched recently. Like it says, from the mouth of a blonde. I hope you enjoy it, as much as I hope to.
